TJ Coach Clinics & Hawkes Bay Trip

TJ WEISTRA COACHING CLINIC MAY 22 & 23

The Junior Development Committee (JDC) is pleased to be able bring back TJ for another coaching clinic on 22nd and 23rd May 2010.

TJ is one of NZ’s most experienced high performance coaches and he will be right here in Palmerston North, coaching our Juniors for the weekend.

TJ has represented the Netherlands as a player and has coached at international level. TJ has been the Badminton NZ High Performance and National Coach and was the Head Coach of NZ teams at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2008 Olympics.

This is a great opportunity for our players, of all ages, and will build on the success of last year’s clinic.

HAWKES BAY TOURNAMENT QUEENS BIRTHDAY WEEKEND JUNE 5 - 7

Yes, we are going back to HB for the long weekend. It looks like the team even will run over two days this year. The Individuals tournament is played on Saturday and the team event will be Sunday and Monday.

More information will be handed out on Tuesday night at training, let your Manager know as soon as possible if you will be coming along.

Costs are still being finalised, we have received a grant towards our accommodation costs, which is a big help. Remember all fundraising goes straight back into these events and helps to subsidise costs.

Parents, help will be required with transport – each team needs to organise a carpool to make sure everyone gets there (and back!)
