The Super League takes place at the B&M Centre (Arena Manawatu) on thursday nights over the summer, from October 7 2010 to Feb 28 2011, and is a lot of fun.
It is a doubles competion only, and is open to anyone.
There is a mix of social and business house teams who are playing for fun, as well as some of our top competitive teams who are wanting to hit the ground running for the next rep season.
Abilities range from complete beginners to some of Manawatu's top players.
We would love to hear from you, so why not round up some friends and workmates and come down and have a bash!
To enter the competition you need a team of 4 players (max of three males per team)
Each player plays three matches as part of one tie. A tie has a total of six doubles matches.
Each tie should take about one and a half hours to play.
Shuttles are provided but players need to have their own racquets.
There are five or six grades depending on numbers
At the end of each five week round the top two teams are promoted and the bottom two teams are relegated in each grade.
This ensures that teams will end up playing in the grade that suits them.
New teams can be entered or current teams withdrawn after each five week round.
Start times are 6.00 pm or 7.30 pm.
