2008—Year 7 & 8 Badminton Competition

Text Box: Starting this Thursday 23rd October 2008 is the Year 7 & 8 Badminton Competition.  Here is some information about this competition.
The competition is for 5 Thursdays with the final session on Thursday 20th November.
Sessions run from 4.00—5.30pm
Venue is the B&M Centre in Pascal Street
Text Box: How does the competition work:
It is a team event so your results are combined with your other team member’s
A team consists of 2 people (2 guys or 2 girls)
A tie against another team involves 2 singles and a doubles game
You will play 2 ties each evening which means you will play 4 games all up

1/10—Some have asked what the ‘No Speed Limits’ is about.  Badminton is the fastest racket sport in the world with the shuttle being clocked with a speed radar at a record 320 km/h.  Watch this on You Tube but don’t blink!!
