About Manawatu Badminton Association

The Manawatu Badminton Association has been incorporated since 1952.

The B&M Centre is the main location for Badminton Manawatu activities, including super league, interclub and other junior events being held here. We currently have five clubs in Palmerston North that cater for local players.

Manawatu is the home of the largest badminton tournament in Australasia, with the North Island Age Group Championships being held every year in Palmerston North. Over 400 players from around the North Island travel to Palmerston North, with coaches, managers and supporters to compete in both teams and individual competition. Badminton Manawatu is proud to be the host of this prestigous event in partnership with Badminton NZ,  2008 marked the 25th year of this competition being held in Palmerston North.
